02/18/05 Update:

Added several new specimens to the site from the famous Southwest mine in Cochise County Arizona, better know as Bisbee. Two of the specimens feature a coralline formation each with it's own unique look. The final specimen is a tremendous helectic calcite with malachite inclusions making for a wonderful addition to any collection.

12/06/05 Update:

Added several new specimens to the site including adamite, danburite, fluorite, quartz, & several specimens of wulfenite & mimetite. Next update in a few days.

11/17/05 Update:

Just added 24 new specimens to the site including several adamite's, azurite from Morenci, AZ, arsenopyrite from china, fluorite, red grossular garnet, magnetite, black tourmaline, siderite, topaz, iridescent marcasite on dogtooth calcite clusters from the Brushy Creek mine in Missouri, and several more kämmererite specimens from Turkey. Next update in a few days.

11/12/05 Update:

We are currently in the process or rebuilding Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals online store to add new features and make everything more efficient. During this time, parts of the site may not work. We estimate this update to be completed on November 7 with all of our stock re-added by November 10. You can now purchase the specimens that have been re-added to the site. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing.

11/02/05 Update:

Today's update features a real mixed bag of specimens including; kämmererite from Turkey, creedite with fluorite, pyrite psuedomorph after pyrhhotite, a large double terminated danburite all from Mexico. From China we added several fluorite's, quartz, arsenopyrite with iridescent chalcopyrite & zinnwaldite mica, cassiterite on mica, scheelite & chalcopyrite, fluorapatite with fluorite & rhodocrosite, spessartine garnet, cassiterite & sphalerite. From the USA there is rhodocrosite, azurite & malachite, clinoclase, and a fantastic spinel twinned native copper. We also added an Allende meteorite.
