All
items purchased from Open Adit™ are made pursuant to
a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and
title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the
carrier. Please take a moment to review the information below
to understand our policies for shipments within the continental
United States.
Our
standard method for domestic shipment is United States Postal
Service (USPS) - Priority Mail® unless otherwise specified at
check-out. We can also provide FedEx® and United
Parcel Service (UPS) services at an additional charge with
prior arrangements depending on the weight & size of your
order. Insurance is optional (See Shipping & Handling costs
below).
Shipping & Handling
The
United States Postal Service (USPS) will be used for all shipments
unless otherwise specified or requested. Our website integrates
with the U.S. Postal Service to calculate shipping costs. Any
special packaging or handling charges will be included
in the total shipping amount at check-out.
When ordering multiple
specimens, depending on their size, we will do our best to
combine items in a single package adjusting the charges accordingly
per package to reduce your shipping costs. Some specimens require
additional charges due to size and / or weight. This will be
reflected in the total shipping amount at check-out.
Insurance:
Insurance is
optional and can be added to each specimen
prior to purchase. If selected, insurance will be included
in the specimen price upon check-out. We recommend that
you select this option when ordering a specimen to
insure the shipment for the full value of the specimens.
By declining insurance, you assume all risk for loss
or damage. Please see our return
policy for additional information.

Delivery
Donfirmation™ is
automatically added to all orders shipped within the
continental United States. Once your order is shipped
it is assigned a tracking number. You can obtain this
number by logging into the order
status page. You will
need your Order ID # and your e-mail address to access
this information. Once you get your tracking number you
can verify delivery with the USPS and get the date, zip
code and the time your specimen was delivered. If delivery
was attempted you will get the date and time of attempted

the USPS Website using the link below.
