Heulandite
is named for an English mineral collector, John Henry Heuland.
Heulandite is usually found in cavities of igneous
rocks. Heulandite
is a special type of tectosilicate called a zeolite consisting
of hydrous calcium and aluminium silicate.
Hydrothermal
in cavities in volcanic rocks, in the Alpine-type fissures,
ore veins and sedimentary
rocks, usually associated with calcite and
other zeolites.
