Primary hydrothermal copper is mainly related to basic igneous rocks, it is also common as a product of supergene cementation. It is associated with azurite, malachite, silver, chalkocite, bornite, and other minerals

Keweenaw Peninsular, Lake Superior; Tsumeb, Namibia; Chessy, France; Bisbee, Morenci, Arizona
Application:
Electronics, electrical engineering, ingredient in gold alloys, ore, and as a mineral specimen.
