Quartz Gallery

Quartz is one of the most common minerals found on earth. Quartz is SiO₂ silicon dioxide. It crystallizes in the hexagonally in the form of massive, granular, druses and prismatic, acicular, dipyramidal to tabular crystals. It is also known as rock crystal, citrine, morion, amethyst, rose quartz, chrysoprase, jasper, agate, onyx, sardonyx, aventurine, heliotrope, tiger's eye, youngite.

It exhibits both piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties: The polarity of the quartz crystal will change when it is either subjected to pressure or heat, as well as when it is held in the hand. The tip, normally positive and receiving energy, will then change and become negative, thus, emitting energy which will radiate from the tip or from an edge. These properties support the amplification, focusing, storage, transfer, and transformation of energy.

Below are some of the possible formations and configurations of quartz and it's metaphysical and healing properties.

Activation

Recognized by an inclined window on the side of the primary face of the crystal. It's primary functions are the activations and increased performance of the side of the brain that the inclined window is on. By directing the energy of this crystal toward the chakras, from the back side of the body, activation of each chakra is enhanced.

Barnacle

A larger crystal covered by many smaller crystals. The larger crystal being the "old soul" and containing the wisdom that attracts the smaller crystals. This crystal can provide insight into family and/or community problems. It is also excellent for those employed by service organizations. It will stimulate group cohesiveness.

Bridge

Has smaller crystals which penetrate and are located partially in, partially out, of a larger crystal. It facilitates bridging the inner and outer worlds, between the self and others. It is quite beneficial when working with the aspects of spirituality and advanced metaphysical areas.

Channeling

Recognized by a large seven-sided face. located in the center front position of the terminated end and a triangular face located on the opposite side. This crystal provides for a means of channeling and expressing truth and wisdom from the inner realm of perfection and the outer worlds. It provides a conscious connection to the higher self and is used to bring forth light and love from the inner self. They are used for meditation, facilitating specific answers, gaining specific information and with record keepers to access stored information.

Cross

The tool of the light worker and an excellent piece to possess when studying spirituality, the arts or the sciences. Placing this formation on any chakra not only clears and activates the chakra but also provides a sweeping action which clears the remaining centers

Curved

Provides for a continuous alignment of the physical meridians and the nervous system. It emanates a gentle, yet powerful energy that is used to cleanse the aura and promote flexibility in ones attitudes. It also will provide strength in ones decisions.

Double terminated

Have points on both ends, they are multi-functional, moving energy outward and inward, or in both directions concurrently. They have the capacity to draw or transmit energy through both ends. They are excellent for dreaming and astral projection. They also help one to maintain their energy shield. They symbolize patience and perseverance.

Elestial

Used to assist one in overcoming emotional burdens and to bring the heart and the intellect into synchronicity. They stimulate the actualization of the conscious self. Gazing into this crystal helps to show one the ways available to enable the "going within" ones being.

Faden-lined

Recognized by a milky feather line, that usually runs through the clearly visible crystal. Faden lines manifest primarily in tabby shaped crystals, but have on extremely rare occasions, have been found in a normal single point crystal. It is believed that the line represents the seed point of growth and they have the ability to activate or start new growth within one's self or within someone you are working with, utilizing healing energy.

Generator

Recognized by six crystal faces joining together to form the terminated apex. This crystal is the piece for energy generation. Both natural and polished crystals in this formation have the same properties and are truly powerful tools for the metaphysician.

Grounding

Have eight edges surrounding the largest sloping face. They are quite rare and not always easily available. Grounding is the ability to deal with practical matters in a realistic way. For example, in dealing with the question `How am I going to make a living', a grounded person will consider his skills and decide how best to use those skills to make a living. An ungrounded or `spacey' person does not like to deal with the practical or realistic aspects of life.

Isis

Have five edges surrounding the largest sloping face. These crystals strongly amplify the feminine energy, and can help you get in touch with the 'female' or unselfish side of yourself, no matter whether you are a man or a woman. These crystals are useful in balancing your male-female energy if the female energy has been suppressed, or if you need a greater balance of female energy for any reason. Isis crystals put you in touch with the power of the Goddess.

Japanese Law Twin

Recognized by the crystals having twin points at a 90 degree angle. This is a contact twin that results from accidents during growth

Key

Recognized by a three or six sided indented shape located on the crystal. The indent becomes narrower as it goes within the crystal. It is used to unlock the 'doors' to healing concepts and to those aspects of the self which tend to be illusive.

Laser Wands

Small slender crystals with small faces comprising the terminations. They are used during meditation to facilitate establishment of a finer communication with the other worlds, the crystalline world and the inner world of the self. It clears an area of negativity and creates protective barriers.

Manifestation

Recognized by a smaller crystal totally enclosed witing a larger crystal. They are very rare and their use requires the inner knowledge that one is a clear and perfect channel, that pure white light provides the guiding way and that the purity of the Divine is within the inner self.

Phantom

Recognized by a phantom crystal within the crystal. It is either white or colored material and symbolizes universal awareness. It is one of the earth stones to be used for redemption. It is an excellent tool for mediation.

Pinnacle

Facilitate ascension and can be used during re-birthing sessions to enhance ones understanding of both the blockages removed and the reasons the existed. It opens and activates the crown chakra.

Pocket

Recognized by the formation of pockets in a massive quartz structure. It assists in both memory stimulation and capacity. It directs the state of change to orderliness and calms the attitude.

Rainbow

A crystal that has a rainbow reflected from within the crystal. Usually they are best viewed in sunlight. These crystals are especially good as meditation crystals for working deep within the subconscious. They work particularly well to lighten the mood for people experiencing sadness, grief or depression. Just holding a rainbow crystal can lighten your mood. Rainbow crystals are also very good at drawing negativity from a room or a situation. Always cleanse a crystal that has been used to clear negativity by letting it sit in the sunshine for a while.

Record Keepers

Recognized by several raised perfect triangles (pyramids) on one or more of the crystal faces. They contain ancient wisdom and knowledge and are to be used only by those with open minds and pure hearts. They provide a deeper access to personal wisdom and promote a greater peace. They are usually personal meditation crystals used by placing the triangles over the third eye.

Septre

Recognized by a naturally formed crystal penetrated by a rod; the crystal actually formed around the rod. It is used in healing ceremonies and is a symbol of power. It is excellent for the transmission of directional energy.

Self-healed

Recognized by small crystalline structures at the base where the crystal was separated from its home. This crystal can share the knowledge of healing and is excellent in healing the self or others.

Shovel

Recognized by the shove formation of the crystal, this configuration is used to assist one in encountering the different aspects of the self and to understand the imagined wonders which exist in other planes. It provides encouragement to one to gather knowledge throughout the travels of life.

Smoky

Powerful in keeping the spirit centered because they carry a special kind of energy that keeps all the energy centers within the body aligned, balanced, and in harmony with each other.

Spade

Allows one to see into the 'heart' of situations and to determine the benefit or detriment of continued participation. It promotes inner strength needed to continue or discontinue the participation.

Spiral

Used to bring the universal spiral energy of the universe to the physical body. It is used to activate the Kundalini It tends to remove energy blockages and promote continued movement.

Tabby

Recognized by a flattened tabular shape and two of its opposite sides are twice as wide, or more, than its other sides, giving the appearance of a tablet. This crystal is used to activate other crystals and minerals. Running the finger down the notches on the flat side is said to activate or open the crystal whereas running the finger toward the apex is said to close the crystal.

Tibetan

Used for protection. Just having a Tibetan crystal close to you puts up an automatic shield against negative energy. It also helps shield you from other people's negative energy. This shield is even stronger if you do a centering exercise while holding the crystal.

Transmitter

Recognized by two symmetrical seven-sided faces with a perfect triangle between them. This combination indicated personal improvement, creativity and manifestation via the creative forces. One can connect to the highest wisdom and receive specific information and universal truths necessary for enlightenment.

Twin

Have two terminations (points) at the same end, which have developed from a single base. You can tell a twin crystal from two crystals that are simply attached to each other, by the fact that both parts of a twin crystal are exactly parallel to each other, and have no boundary between them in at least a small region of the crystal. These are wonderful crystals to use when dealing with `relationship' things. They can help you gain insight into the underlying problems in a relationship, and help work through them. They can generate very positive energy towards improving a relationship. This works for any kind of relationship, not only a man-woman relationship. A twin with a rainbow can be very effectively used to project healing energy into a relationship or to keep a good relationship strong.

Window

Have a small diamond shaped face which takes the place of one of the corners where two of the parallel faces usually meet the corresponding two sloping faces. Window crystals are introspection crystals in that they help you see what is inside yourself. They help bring things to the surface so you can see them and effectively deal with them. If you are having problems and aren't sure why, a window crystal can be a good help.
