In no event will Open Adit™ be liable to any award winners, applicants or any third party, for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages arising from operation or inability to operate the Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals website or the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" awards program. Even if Open Adit™ has been advised to the possibility or such damages. Our awards are copyrighted and protected, under U.S. copyright laws. © 2003 - 2004. Only award winners may put our awards on their website. Awards may not be resized or edited in any way, shape or form without written consent from Open Adit™.

Code of Ethics:

You must agree the following code of ethics. Anyone not willing to agree, should not apply for the the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" award.

The following ethical rules and principles are binding on both parties, an applicant and the webmaster of this site:

Before submitting my website, I acknowledge that I have read the"Criteria" and "Disqualification" pages.

By submitting my website to Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals, I understand that my website might not win an award at this time. (Not all submissions win an award).

By submitting my website to Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals, if I should win an award, I agree to have my website listed on the award recipients page.

As a recipient of the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" award, I'm entitled to receive an objective, relevant and respectful notification about my achievement by e-mail, with an attachment of an award image, from the evaluator for the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" award program.

As a recipient of the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" award, I'm entitled to include the statement of the evaluator of this award program with the connection of the award image without separate written permission by the evaluator.

I will not alter or re-size an award image while posting it on my site.

I will include a link back to Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals website. In the HTML code fragment, which is sent to all recipients of the award, the link is included to the image.

As a recipient of the the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" award, I will post the award image including a link back to Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals website within 7 days starting from the reciept of notification. Any recipient not in complience will be removed from the award recipients page.

Do not apply for one of the Open Adit™ "Best Rock & Mineral Website" awards if you have no intention of posting the award to your site. This is due to applications we have received from applicants who just want to be linked on our award recipients page and do not display any awards on their site. Award winners proudly display their awards on their site for the hard work and recognition. We are not a marketing site and we only display our award winners banners, if they decide to send them to us. So if you are applying for an award only to get linked, do not waste yours or our time.
